12T butter
2 cups chopped onions
2 cloves crush garlic
1cup diced dried apricots
1cup dried cherries or cranberries
1cup coarsely chopped almonds
2cups pared, cored and diced tart apples
4cups cooked brown rice
2cups cooked white or wehane rice
½ cup fresh chopped parsley
2t salt
1t cinnamon
fresh ground pepper to taste
melt butter – sauté onions – garlic. Add apricots, cherries, almonds (about 5 mins). Stir in apple – 3 more minutes. Add rices, parsley and spices. Can cook in turkey on in over separately. Covered 350 for ½ hour.
